INDUSTRY NEWS

Here at LaBarba, we know that every establishment has its own liquor licensing challenges, but we’re committed to making sure the process is as smooth as possible for our clients. Recently, we won a case in McKinney for The Paddock, which allowed the new restaurant to obtain a Specific Use Permit (SUP) for a Private Club.

The building renovation will restore the exterior to traditional, period-era style, with an interior designed to replicate a 20th-century speakeasy. Classic cars will be installed in the front of the space, with dining and drinking areas in the back.

The SUP allows the business to have a higher volume of alcohol sales, which will primarily be focused on high-end mixed beverage cocktails and liquor.

This unique concept will be opening soon, right off the McKinney Town Square at 119 S. Tennessee Street – we can’t wait to check it out!

Are you developing a dining concept that could benefit from an SUP? We’re highly experienced with guiding cases through the process and would be happy to represent your establishment in front of City Council – just give us a call!
